New Year's Bashes In the Burg

In addition to the usual sparkle and glam you've come to expect from a New Year's bash, many NYE parties are celebrating the start of the 2020's with Gatsby-esqe flair.Whether you're looking for a party to dance the night away, or whether you simply want an occasion to get dolled up, we did the work for you. 1920 to 2020, New Year's Renaissance thematic parties:

• Ciclops Cyderi & Brewery, New Year's Eve: A Gangster's Paradise, 7pm, no cover (197 E Saint John St, Spartanburg): The local brewery is turning into a speakeasy for the night, with hourly beer releases, flapper attire, thematic menu, complimentary champagne toast, and live music from David Neil Edwards and Squirrel Level Road.
• Indigo Hall, NYE 2020 Black Renaissance, 9pm, $30 (190 Ezell St, Spartanburg): Recreate the Harlem Renaissance, with Black Hollywood, free appetizers and champagne, and live music from the Frank Johnson Band.
• The Kennedy, Roaring Into 2020, 5pm, $20 (221 E Kennedy St, Spartanburg): Enjoy champagne, prohibition-style cocktails, a special menu, and 1920's costume contest.
• Libby's, New Year's Eve Party, 8pm, no cover (629 Gossett Rd, Spartanburg): 1920's costumes and dancing all night long.
• Wild Wing Cafe, Roaring 20's New Year's Eve at the Wing, 9:30pm, $100 (111 W Main St, Spartanburg): These all-inclusive party tickets include a dinner buffet, bottle of champagne, party favors, live music from JMC Andre B & iPartyology, and a $15 uber code credit for a safe ride home.
