Buck 'N Brew

Campobello might not be the first place you think of as a "coffee destination," but you just don't have the full scoop. Local favorite, Buck 'N Brew Coffee & Ice Cream, is a cozy gathering place for locals and passerby alike.Housed at 18981 Asheville Hwy, the ranch-style building is a colorful beacon on your way to downtown Campobello. On a weekday afternoon, the coffeeshop quickly filled with friends meeting for lunch, retired couples, and teenagers from nearby Landrum High School.Inside, find two sides to the shop....A cozy, orange and wood-paneled farm-motif half of the building serves coffee and sandwiches, with horse shoe decor, barn doors, and horse-themed drink specials. In addition to the usual coffeeshop menu you would expect, choose from eight hot, iced, and frozen specialty flavor combos, such as the Cattle Crunch (English toffee, dark chocolate,) the Palomino Mocha (French vanilla, white chocolate, caramel,) or the Blue Roan (blueberry, white chocolate.) Want sweet but simple? They offer twenty individual syrup flavors as well. If your stomach starts growling, Buck 'N Brew offers handmade pastries and cake slices from Standing Stone Bakery in Columbus, NC, as well as sandwiches (both featured specials and build-your-own,) salads, and soups. And yes, they're tasty. (We recommend the Roasted Italian sandwich: ham, pepperoni, salami, pepper-jack cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and roasted Italian dressing.)The other side of the coffeeshop-- known as Buck 'N Scoops-- offers 24 flavors of ice cream sundaes and cones. Chalk paint cow print adorns the walls, with colorful notes and doodles from regular fans.No time to stop and stay? No worries; the coffeeshop also has a convenient drivethru.Buck 'N Brew is open seven days a week:Monday-Thursday: 7am-8pmFriday: 7am-9pmSaturday: 8am-9pmSunday: 2-8pmCHEERS!
